Professional Land Surveyor

Columbia Engineering is actively seeking a talented Registered Land Surveyor to join our team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reviews work in survey department for consistency of presentation and the application of appropriate standards. Responsible for the quality of product.
• Assist project with land surveying computations
• Responsible for project schedules and timely completion of projects to ensure project profitability as well as meeting delivery schedule.
• Develops probable cost estimates for survey projects as requested by the client.
• Uses computer assisted design software and equipment to prepare documents.
• Serves as a senior project surveyor on complex projects and as a designated client contact.
• Provides input on pricing, estimating, and scoping for proposed survey projects.
• Prepares or directs preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plats, schedules, studies, etc. for project.
• Reviews, signs, seals plans and easements as appropriate.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in surveying, mapping, or related field, minimum 7 years of experience in surveying or related field, or demonstrated equivalent combination of educations, training and related experience.
• Registered Land Surveyor in Georgia, Alabama, or Florida or ability to obtain..
• Proficient in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation, Civil 3D, and Carlson software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel)
