Field Surveyor/Trimble Operator

Preferred Background/Education

• Bachelor/Associates Degree or Trade School - Engineering, Construction and/or Surveying
• 3+ years experience with Trimble layout

Requirements/ Expectations

• General surveying knowledge
• Trimble equimpent and software knowledge
• Experience with robotic instruments
• Experience with GPS rover and base set up
• Experience in the construction industry
• A valid driver's license and good driving record
• Effective communication skills
• Willing to work outside on various jobsites
• Willing to travel and stay for extended periods of time
• Physical ability to perform related tasks such as bending, reaching, standing for long periods of time
• Must be detail oriented, problem solver, and self-starter

Responsibilities

• Layout field points (underground, aboveground, roof, and penetrations) using
• Trimble equipment
• Operation and maintaining of Trimble equipment (Total station, GPS receiver,
• data collector, etc.) to collect and/or layout field points
• Collaborate and coordinate with Project Manager construction documents and
• spool drawings
• Ability to export to DWG and other formats for collaboration

Work Location:

• This position is based at our office in Flint, MI but requires travel to various jobsites.
