STOKES HODGES AUTO GROUP

Stokes Hodges Auto Group is seeking an in-house Vehicle Photographer to produce consistent, high-quality images of new and used dealership inventory for online listings and marketing materials. This is a production-focused role where efficiency, attention to detail, consistency, and personal accountability matter just as much as creativity. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, efficient, and takes ownership of their daily output without needing constant supervision. You will travel between our three dealerships located on Jefferson Davis Highway, position vehicles in designated photography areas, capture images using a standardized shot list, and edit photos through a structured workflow in Adobe Lightroom Classic. Our goal is clean, consistent, and timely imagery delivered at scale. Dealer-owned camera equipment and an editing workstation will be provided. Candidates will succeed in this role if they have at least two years of natural light photography experience and a strong understanding of preset and batch editing in Adobe Lightroom Classic. You will be joining an established team of two other vehicle photographers and collaborating to maintain consistent visual standards across all locations. If you enjoy cars, working independently, staying organized, challenging yourself, and producing polished work efficiently, this role is for you.

- Upload, organize, and publish images accurately by stock number in the inventory management system.

- Maintain organized archives, including a one-year backup of final vehicle images.

- Coordinate with sales and inventory managers to schedule shoots and communicate any delays or issues affecting production.

- Adapt to the operational needs of each dealership while maintaining company-wide photographic standards.

- Collaborate with the marketing team to support campaigns and promotions with photographic content.

- Ensure timely delivery of photos for online publication and marketing deadlines.

- Responsible for maintaining issued photography equipment in good working condition and ensuring its safe handling and storage throughout the workday.

Requirements

Daily Production Expectations

- Photograph approximately 8–12 vehicles per day, adjusting pace based on inventory volume.

- Edit, export, and upload photo sets within the same business day whenever possible.

- Maintain consistent productivity throughout the day and proactively manage downtime when inventory flow slows.

Job Requirements

- Proficient with the Sony a7iii or similar mirrorless/DSLR camera, and circular polarizer filters.

- Strong understanding of the exposure triangle, white balance, and composition.

- Must be able to stand for extended periods, kneel/squat for detail shots, and work outdoors in heat, cold, and humidity.

- Proficient with editing RAW images in Adobe Lightroom Classic.

- Ability to work independently and efficiently while problem solving on the fly.

- Ability to shoot in various outdoor environments and adjust for lighting and weather conditions.

- Ability to follow a shot list and meet specific creative direction or branding requirements.

- Capable of handling and transporting photography equipment safely and efficiently.
