Production Technician – Composites & Avionics
Hourly Pay Rate: $23.20-34.80/hr
Position Summary
We are seeking highly skilled Production Technicians to work on composite aircraft, avionics, and related systems. This will be a 3-month contract to hire role with our client in Frisco, TX. This role is ideal for hands-on professionals with strong interpersonal skills and experience in a quality-focused production environment. You will collaborate with engineering drawings and detailed work instructions to achieve the desired finish for production components and support fabrication and assembly tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and perform assembly, testing, and configuration of aircraft systems including:
- Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV)
- Avionics
- Ground Control Stations (GCS)
- Ground Support Equipment (GSE)
- Ground Data Terminals (GDT)
- Other electronics
- Assist in troubleshooting, component removal/replacement, testing, and documentation using approved technical publications and procedures.
- Perform trim, paint, and bodywork on UAV components.
- Assemble, test, and support engine ground runs and break-ins.
- Undertake modifications and repairs to composite components as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure on-time delivery of aircraft.
- Interpret engineering drawings, diagrams, and work instructions/manuals related to part fabrication.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience in aircraft production/manufacturing, including but not limited to composite layup, avionics fabrication/installation, aircraft final assembly, or ground support.
- Minimum 6 months to 1 year of experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cooperatively with team members and other departments.

- Proficiency with MS Office and production-related computer applications.
