Overview

The Integration and Test (I&T) Technician II position is a full-time non-exempt position. The individual will perform integration and test of unmanned aerial systems (UAS). This individual will perform ground and flight testing of the UAS at CONUS and OCONUS locations. The individual will report to the Program Manager.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and/or support UAV component through system level integration of the UAS to include electronics, ground control station hardware, seeker and propulsion subsystems, to meet program requirements.
  • Lead and/or support Test Plans and Procedures for acceptance testing.
  • Lead the fabrication and integration electrical harnesses.
  • Document integration procedures, test plans, and test results.
  • Implement technical standards, principles, concepts, and techniques in the development of system solutions.
  • Interface with the Program Director and Chief Engineer as well as other stake holders to ensure program objectives are achieved.
  • Support flight testing at designated test ranges at CONUS and OCONUS locations.
  • Support other duties as assigned.


Skills and Competencies

  • AS degree in Electronics, Manufacturing, or similar degree is preferred. 
  • Minimum of 3 years’ technician experience integrating complex systems required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain FAA Drone Pilot license is required. 
  • A self-motivated and effective communicator. 
  • Ability to prioritize work of others and handle multiple tasks at a time.
  • Experience with UAs integration and testing is preferred including experience working with interface standards. 
  • Capable of functioning in multi-disciplined design teams across multiple projects. 

 

Clearance:


  • U.S. Citizenship required.


Physical Requirements: 


  • Able to stand or sit for extended period.
  • Must be able to travel 15% - 25%.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds utilizing arms, legs and stretching constantly.
