Job summary:
The Quality Management Systems Specialist (QMSS) will be responsible for driving TSO, FAA, and SAR certification efforts for Greene Tweed’s Aerospace Parts. As an influencer and change agent, this role is expected to improve (and develop where needed) GT process, documentation systems, performance metrics, and supplier compliance integration through NPI and CI initiatives. To utilize leadership, and GT Teams (Engineering, R&D, Quality, Operations) to guide the direction of NPI projects with a focus on Aerospace components. Activities will mostly consist of the certification and/or revalidating existing materials and components. The QMSS will also support GT’s the Quality Management System (QMS), compliance to AS9100, ISO 9001, NADCAP, 3rd party & customer quality audits/visits, scheduled management reviews, quality metrics reporting, analysis of quality-related data, internal audit program, quality procedure creation and review process, corrective and preventive action program while providing support of contract and specification reviews. This position requires demonstrated technical and leadership skills, the ability to work well cross functionally with internal partners globally while building meaningful relationships with all GT stakeholders.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Extensive experience in the Aerospace industry with knowledge of 14 CFR Part 21, emphasis on Subpart O (TSOA).
Navigate and manage TSO and FAA expectations to introduce new products for the Aerospace aftermarket.
Evaluate product design, performance, validation, and quality systems against TSO-C150a and others.
Provides guidance and technical support to Quality, Procurement, Engineering, and various stakeholders within GT as part of the TSO / ETSO product certification process.
Collaborate in developing and improving the processes, documentation, and systems needed to manage internal and supplier QMS and certifications such as AS9100, AS13100, ISO9001, ISO17025, etc.
Partners with site functional leaders and value stream managers to proactively identify, develop and implement programs and procedures to support and document QMS improvement opportunities.
Assist Procurement by working with suppliers to increase capabilities and capacities to meet GT’s compliance initiatives.
Required Minimum Qualifications
Education/Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a Technical or Engineering discipline, Engineering discipline preferred.
NPI experience, preferably in the Aerospace, Automotive, or semiconductor industry
PMP or equivalent certification or work experience
ASQ Certification or equivalent (ie CQI/IRCA/EOQ Certification) a plus.
Six Sigma Black/ Green Belt certification is a plus.
Certified lead Auditor for ISO9001 and/or AS/EN9100 or other equivalent industry standards is a plus
