Traveling Electrician-Solar

We are hiring experienced Journeyman Electricians licensed in Washington for utility-scale solar projects across the United States. This is a full-time, permanent, traveling position supporting large ground-mount solar installations ranging from 5–20 MW.

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems on utility-scale solar projects
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings
• Perform wiring, terminations, grounding, and conduit work in compliance with NEC standards
• Test and troubleshoot electrical systems for safety and functionality
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and field crews to meet project deadlines
• Follow OSHA regulations and all jobsite safety protocols
• Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance
• Safely operate tools, equipment, and machinery
• Complete daily documentation and report any issues or deficiencies

Qualifications:

• Active Washington Journeyman Electrician License required (Colorado license is a plus)
• Willingness to obtain additional state licenses as needed
• Minimum 3 years of electrical experience; solar or renewable energy experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of NEC, OSHA standards, and electrical codes
• Ability to work outdoors, travel full-time, and work at heights in varying weather conditions
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Compensation & Benefits:

• Base pay: $47–$50/hour
• Prevailing Wage projects paying $50–$90/hour
• Per diem paid 7 days per week
