WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The Thermal Systems group at Slate is looking for an upbeat, fun, organized, experienced Engineer, Thermal System to join our growing team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to pedal
Day-to-day supplier issue tracking, control and calibration interface coordination, change management and issue triage across subsystem, DV build plan support, integration firefighting, controls alignment.
WHAT YOU GET TO DO
As a member of the Thermal Systems Engineering group, the Thermal System Engineer will be responsible for integrating key parts of the thermal components in the vehicle.
Prototype and production intent vehicle thermal support.
Translate vehicle requirements/functional objectives and formulate development and testing plans.
The Thermal System Engineer will work with SLATE suppliers (through Development Phases Alpha, Beta, PV, Product intent)) and with SLATE cross-functional teams (Chief Engineer, architecture, purchasing, program manager, and quality engineers) to ensure the successful launch and release.
Define, execute and supervise design verification plans (DVP) and reporting
Support production ramp and field issue resolution
Provide program deliverables on time per major development milestones
Thermal change management (documentation of changes, and approval from change management board)
Execute programs through the development process that meet or exceed objectives for performance, drivability and customer satisfaction
Experience in CAN tools, INCA Calibration Tools and documentation creation
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical or related engineering field
Minimum of 5 years in relevant experience (thermal system, parts sourcing, sw/hw knowledge in controls, calibration, and/or testing)
Ability to review component technical specification, subsystem technical specification, understanding thermal components, and thermal architecture.
Previous Hybrid or electrification vehicle experience
·Demonstrated experience with thermal mechatronic and DVP&R through the complete product cycle
Experience in problem solving
Strong technical research and writing skills
·Strong communication skills
Master’s degree in engineering
Experience in the full product life cycle
Reactive and/or DFSS black belt
HW/SW knowledge and validation/release experience
