Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation: Starting pay rate of $18.00 - $18.72, adjusted based on experience.
Benefits: Seasonal position eligible for a season pass for employee/dependents and privileges at several other resorts. Several discount programs (i.e., food & beverage, retail/rental, tickets, etc.) also available.
Job Summary:
Aerial Guides are responsible for the daily operation of Killington’s Ropes Course, Zip Line and Harness Room. Guides will conduct daily inspections of the attractions, maintain equipment, assist guests with harnessing and provide instruction for the safe and proper use of attractions.
Summary of Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Responsible for the daily operation of the Rope's Course, Zip Line, and Harness Room
Conduct daily inspections of the attractions
Assist with the setup, maintenance, and inspection of equipment to ensure it meets safety standards and operational requirements
Assist guests with harnessing and provide instruction for the safe and proper use of attractions
Ensure all participants understand safety procedures and are properly equipped
Provide exceptional customer service, including answering questions and addressing concerns in order to enhance the overall guest experience
Monitor participant behavior and adherence to safety guidelines
Ensure a positive and enjoyable experience for all participants by delivering exceptional customer service
Perform other tasks as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old
Must be able to work outdoors for long periods of time in all types of weather
Requires the ability to repeatedly lift 40 pounds and be capable of bending, stooping, climbing, and standing for long periods of time
Must be able to understand and use a harness properly
Prior experience with outdoor recreation, high ropes instruction or ziplining is preferred
May work at other attractions as needed
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must be comfortable at heights of 15 feet or more for extended periods of time in exposed areas, using safety and harness equipment
Must be safety conscious and able to make quick decisions
Excellent guest service skills and dependability required
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, with holidays and weekends required
Must be able to understand instructions, give directions and communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and guests under pressure and during emergency situations
