Position: Solar Installer
Supervisor: Crew Lead
Classification: Full-time, hourly non-exempt
Summary Description:
Installer will provide support to the crew lead and the installation team, communicate job status data to the crew lead and ensure the completion of installation of all solar arrays/systems.
Solar Installer Job Responsibilities:
• Provide support to the crew lead of the installation team
• Ensure complete installation of all solar arrays/systems on commercial and/or residential job sites
• Ensure safe work practices
• Layout and assembly of solar modules array and mounting hardware
• Clean up of job site
• Attend mandatory training sessions on installation methodology and safety
• Works collaboratively with other installers, crew leads, supervisors, superintendents and managers
• Attends meetings
• Other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
• Ability to work in extreme environments, cold, winter weather, hot sun
• Able to work in confided spaces, and attics
Physical Demands:
• Ability to transport materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks (up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds with assistance)
• Able to climb ladders and work in crawl spaces
• Not afraid of heights and able to climb on roofs
• Manual dexterity required while working with tools.
• Able to stand for prolong periods, able to bend, kneel, squat and reach at or above shoulder level
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
• This is a full-time position
• Overtime may be required
Travel:
Willing and able to travel based on the needs of the business

Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
• 1 + yrs. experience with the safe use of hand-held and power tools
• Previous solar experience/knowledge preferred
• Ability to pass background check and pre-employment and random drug screenings
• Insurability, must have clean driving record, and
• Valid drivers’ license preferred
