Position Description

The Sanneh Marketing & Videography Coordinator VISTA will focus on increasing awareness and visibility of Sanneh programs that aim to improve educational outcomes for diverse and low-income youth. This position will be responsible for producing creative and informative visuals and videos, ensuring that Sanneh's message reaches a broad audience across multiple community contexts. The VISTA will work closely with the communications team to develop content that aligns with Sanneh’s mission, engages community members, donors, and program participants, and enhances the visibility of the organization's impact.


Role and Responsibilities

Create multimedia content that showcases Sanneh’s programs and their positive impact on the educational outcomes of diverse and low-income youth. Develop promotional materials and videos that effectively communicate Sanneh’s mission, vision, and the importance of community involvement. Strengthen Sanneh’s presence across multiple platforms to increase engagement and support from the community and stakeholders.

ACTIVITIES (Q1-4):

  • Content Creation and Strategy:

    • Identify key opportunities to highlight program successes and impact through multimedia content, including photos, videos, and graphics.

    • Design promotional materials that are visually appealing and effectively communicate Sanneh’s mission and programs.

    • Work closely with the communications team to ensure content aligns with Sanneh’s overall messaging strategy and target audience.

  • Video Production:

    • Produce engaging, high-quality videos that tell the story of Sanneh’s programs, featuring program participants, staff, and community members.

    • Edit and produce videos for use across various platforms, including social media, the Sanneh website, and at community events.

    • Develop video content that engages potential donors, volunteers, and community members in supporting Sanneh’s mission.

ACTIVITIES (Q1-4):

  • Branding and Marketing Support:

    • Assist in developing a consistent visual identity for Sanneh’s marketing materials to ensure cohesion across all media.

    • Create a content calendar to plan and track multimedia projects, ensuring timely delivery of materials for upcoming events, campaigns, and program promotions.

    • Collaborate with the team to develop and execute marketing campaigns that drive community engagement and increase awareness of Sanneh’s programs and services.

  • Community Outreach through Multimedia:

    • Identify and document community events, activities, and success stories through photography and videography.

    • Develop multimedia content to highlight the impact of Sanneh’s programs, including participant testimonials, program highlights, and community success stories.

    • Distribute multimedia content across multiple platforms to ensure broad community visibility and support for Sanneh’s programs.

ACTIVITIES (Q1-4):

  • Enhancing Online Presence:

    • Continue to produce content for social media platforms that engages Sanneh’s online community and increases the visibility of its programs.

    • Work with the communications team to improve the Sanneh website by creating new visual content, ensuring the site is up-to-date with relevant program information and media.

    • Analyze the performance of multimedia content and use insights to improve future content and engagement strategies.

  • Professional Development and Learning:

    • Engage in professional development opportunities to improve skills related to multimedia content creation, videography, and graphic design.

    • Attend workshops, webinars, and other learning opportunities to stay current with trends in multimedia marketing and nonprofit communications.

ACTIVITIES (Q1-4):

  • Sustainability and Documentation:

    • Document processes and systems used to create and distribute multimedia content, ensuring sustainability of practices for future team members.

    • Develop a content management system that ensures all multimedia content is properly archived and accessible for future use by the communications team.

    • Create a guide or manual to streamline multimedia content creation and distribution for future staff or volunteers.

This role offers the opportunity to have a direct impact on Sanneh’s outreach and engagement efforts by creating compelling multimedia content that highlights the organization’s work, amplifies its impact, and strengthens its connection with the community, donors, and program participants.

Preferred Education & Qualifications


  • AmeriCorps VISTA’s must be 18 years or older.

  • Have a Valid Drivers License.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or have lawful permanent residency.

  • Desire to work in a growing nonprofit organization with a strong commitment to the mission of helping low-income students earn college admission and persist toward degree completion.
