About the Opportunity:
Northwest Talent Solutions is partnering with a leading aerospace & defense organization supporting critical FAA infrastructure across the Boston airspace.
This is a hands-on field technician role supporting mission-critical telecommunications and network systems. You'll be dispatched from home to support sites including the Boston Air Route Control Center and surrounding locations.

What You'll Do:
- Install, maintain, and repair telecommunications and network systems
- Support fiber, SONET, T1/DS3, and voice/data systems
- Perform circuit testing (BERT, digital/analog testing) and diagnostics
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues in the field
- Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, downtime, and updates
- Serve as escalation support from Help Desk/NOC environments
What You Bring:
- 5–10+ years of hands-on experience in telecommunications / network field support

Strong knowledge of:
- Fiber optics, multiplexing, and network topology
- T1/DS3 testing, SONET, ATM, private line systems
- Power systems (24VDC / 48VDC / AC)
- Experience with network testing tools (JDSU, oscilloscopes, etc.)
- Proficiency with Windows/UNIX systems and basic software troubleshooting
- Ability to work independently, on-call, and travel frequently (up to 100%)
- Valid driver's license and ability to lift equipment as needed
Preferred: Network+, CCNA, A+ or similar certifications
