About MARS Energy Solutions

MARS Energy Solutions delivers commercial and public works solar projects across multiple markets. Our work is field-driven, fast-paced, and execution-focused. We are continuing to grow and are investing in building stronger operational systems, including safety and quality, to support that growth.

About the Role

MARS Energy Solutions is hiring a Director of Safety & Quality to take ownership of safety performance and field execution across our operations.
This role is not maintaining an existing program. It is stepping into an environment that needs structure, consistency, and accountability- and building it.

You will be responsible for establishing standards, driving behavior in the field, and improving outcomes across safety, quality, and return-to-work. This includes reducing incidents, improving EMR/ XMod performance, and minimizing rework and warranty issues.

What You’ll Own

  • Build and implement safety and quality programs that actually work in the field
  • Establish clear standards for execution across all projects
  • Lead job site audits, inspections, and MOP reviews
  • Drive accountability with construction and project leadership
  • Reduce rework, field defects, and warranty exposure through better execution
  • Lead incident investigations and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations
  • Drive return-to-work execution in the field, not just on paper
  • Hold field leadership accountable for transitional duty and RTW participation
  • Influence EMR/XMod through improved safety performance and reduced claim impact
  • Track performance, identify trends, and report results to leadership

What You Bring

  • 8+ years of leadership experience in construction or similar field-based industries
  • Experience managing safety and/or quality programs across multiple job sites
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA, Cal/OSHA, NFPA 70E
  • Experience with EMR/XMod and workers’ compensation impact
  • Ability to drive accountability in field environments—not just compliance
  • Clear, direct communication style and strong problem-solving ability

Preferred: OSHA 510/500, CSP, ASP, CHST or similar

Why This Role Matters

Safety and quality are critical to how we operate- but today, consistency across teams and projects needs improvement.

This role is key to:

  • Creating structure where it doesn’t exist
  • Aligning field teams around clear expectations
  • Reducing operational risk and cost
  • Improving how work is executed across the board

You will have visibility, influence, and the opportunity to make a measurable impact.

Benefits

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Life Insurance paid for by Co.
  • Additional benefits provided in accordance with company policy
