The position is responsible for the Counter Unmanned Systems Portfolio. The current emphasis within this portfolio is on countering unmanned small aircraft systems (C-sUAS), requiring knowledge and background in air defense and/or force protection, with specific background in C-sUAS being a significant plus.
In addition to the main focus of C-sUAS, this position is responsible for the portfolio of DoD counter unmanned systems (C-UXS) such as C-UGV, C-USV, and C-UUV. Counter Unmanned Ground Vehicles (C-UGV) refers to defeating remotely operated or unmanned (also uncrewed) cars, trucks, tracked or wheeled robotic systems which travel or operate primarily on land. Counter Unmanned Surface Vessels (C-USV) refers to defeating unmanned, autonomously or remotely-operated surface vessels, boats or sails. Counter-Unmanned Underwater Vessels (C-UUV) refers to the systems that can defeat autonomously or remotely-operated underwater vessels which can perform a variety of functions such as perform underwater intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR), dredging operations, mine-clearing or mine-laying operation. The majority of the all C-UAS / C-UXS are non-programs of records (NPR) and are technologically immature and in some stage of prototype development within their programs; therefore, a background in Systems Program Management and/or defense acquisition is considered extremely valuable for this position.
Military experience, to include inside the Pentagon is a plus. The position will include the preparation of briefings and reports that include acquisition strategy and system analysis.
Additional tasks include coordination with interagency partners, test personnel, and cross-functional teammates within DoD. The ideal candidate will have a successful track record of managing projects simultaneously, ranging from urgent requests for information to strategic multi-year projects.

Why Corvid?
Founded in 2004, we are a group of over 300 engineers and scientists, about 3/4 with master’ degrees or Ph.D.'s, that provide end-to-end solutions including concept development, design and optimization, prototype build, test and manufacture. We leverage the predictive capability of our high-fidelity computational physics solvers, indigenous massively parallel supercomputer system, prototyping plant, and ballistics and mechanics lab to investigate a variety of high-rate physics phenomena.
The results are complex engineering solutions for a variety of applications; aircraft, ballistic missile defense, cybersecurity, motorsports, armor development, biological systems, and missile and warhead design and development. These results are achieved with optimal design and cost efficiency due to the predictive capability of Corvid’s tools and our in-house, end-to-end integrated approach, which differentiates Corvid from the market.
We value our people and offer employees a broad range of benefits. Benefits for full-time employees include:
