Β Our facilities are used to solve complex waste management and material recycling challenges for our clients and are positioned to expand the application of thermal desorption to higher value material recovery and emerging waste streams


Position Description: Β This is a shift position that provides engineering and troubleshooting support for the operation, maintenance, regulatory compliance, data management and optimization for various Thermal Desorption, hazardous waste treatment/recycling processes and equipment. The ideal candidate will be safety conscious, attentive, hardworking, self-motivated and mechanically competent. Must have a desire to work as part of an integrated team with a hands-on approach to a technical position that can require compensated overtime work.Β 


Key Responsibilities: As a member of an integrated team, the Thermal Unit Process Engineer responsibilities include:

  • Monitor and optimize operations of different processes
  • Collect, review, and interpret daily production data
  • Evaluate operations data and address process deviations
  • Recommend design changes or upgrades to equipment and operating procedures
  • Assist with diagnostics and repair of process equipment
  • Support our technology by being part of operations
  • Complete health and safety field inspections and maintain resources
  • Perform leak detection and repair inspections and reports
  • Support air monitoring surveying program and maintain instruments
  • Perform field RCRA inspections and collect permit required samples
  • Support regulatory site audits and periodic stack tests
  • Other tasks and/or responsibilities as directed by your supervisor

Working Environment

  • Our facility is located outside where heat and cold are the normal work environment conditions and operates 24 hours per day and 7 days per week.
  • The equipment includes hot surfaces, pressurized piping, confined spaces, rotating motors, conveyors, and moving heavy equipment.
  • Personal protective equipment required include steel toed boots, coveralls, safety glasses, hard hat, hearing protection and gloves.

Working Hours

  • Initial schedule of 5 days a week for training, followed by an anticipated 7 ON, 7 OFF, 12hr/day dayshift schedule.
  • An average of 48 hours per week is expected, with straight time overtime paid over 40 hours.

Requirements

Desired Experience

  • 1-3 years of previous employment in an industrial setting. i.e., oil field, refinery, chemical manufacturing or similar
  • Knowledge of hazardous materials operations
  • Understanding of confined space entries
  • Comfortable using basic hand tools, gauges, meters, and power tools
  • Good physical fitness is helpful for the active work performed on our processing plants
  • Aspires to build a career and grow professionally
