— Dan Lichtman, Owner

AEPS Electric is a 23-year-old, licensed New Jersey electrical contractor specializing in commercial and industrial solar. We’re looking for a working Site Supervisor to lead our second crew—someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, knows how to lead people, and wants to grow with a tight, experienced team.

This is a hands-on leadership role, not a clipboard-only position. You’ll be working in the field while supervising a small crew on large, interesting projects.

About the Team

  • 11 field electricians, 4 office staff
  • Project Manager and Field Supervisor both have 20+ years with the company
  • PM is a former Field Supervisor — understands the field and supports crews
  • Tight-knit group that encourages learning, growth, and accountability
  • Big projects with small crews = variety, challenge, and pride in the work
  • Changing job sites keep the work interesting and engaging

What You’ll Do

  • Supervise and work alongside a crew of 2–5 electricians
  • Lead commercial and industrial solar installations
  • Ensure all work complies with NEC and OSHA standards
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings
  • Train and mentor crew members to meet AEPS Electric’s standards
  • Coordinate with the Project Manager to keep projects safe, efficient, and on schedule
  • Set the tone on-site through professionalism, safety, and quality workmanship

What We’re Looking For

  • Commercial / Industrial electrical experience required
  • NJ Licensed Journeyman preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC
  • OSHA certification preferred (company will help obtain if needed)
  • Proven leadership and communication skills
  • Comfortable working at heights and on rooftops
  • Proficient with electrical hand and power tools
  • Valid driver’s license and clean background required
  • A leader who isn’t afraid to work alongside their crew

Schedule

  • Crews help choose start times based on daylight and season
    • Summer: as early as 6:30 AM
    • Winter: as late as 8:00 AM
  • Typically 8-hour workdays, though hours may vary by project
  • Overtime, nights, and weekends as needed

Pay & Benefits

  • $35/hour, negotiable based on experience
  • 401(k) with 4% company match
  • Health insurance (40% paid by employer)
  • Paid Time Off (PTO)
  • Company-provided phone, shirts, sweatshirts
  • Hard hats, safety glasses, and required PPE provided

Why AEPS Electric?

We don’t micromanage. We trust experienced leaders, support our crews, and believe good work speaks for itself. If you want to lead a crew, work on meaningful projects, and be part of a company where people actually stay—this is the place.
