Location: Multiple locations with travel in the southeast. Orangeburg, SC is the main office.

As a McCall-Thomas Aerial Fiber Foreman, this hire
will be working alongside our team of dedicated individuals committed to our mission of providing quality solutions and services to each of our clients. The primary responsibilities for this role:
- Leads on various size projects
- Ensures accuracy of timesheets and expense reports
- Develops work-around procedures for maintaining crew productivity during delays caused by other trades, customer, lack of materials, absenteeism, etc.
- Monitors quality assurance and ensures installations meet customer specifications and industry standards.
- Ensures safety practices are observed by all crew members
- Reports, coordinates and supervises all aspects of a project
- May work independently performing site surveys for estimates, proposal preparation, or quality assurance
- Planning and Initiating projects
- Establishing OSHA and customer safety requirements
- Stringing new wire or maintaining old wire
- Operate bucket truck
- Maintaining aerial specs when placing overhead lines
- Set up service for customers: installing, connecting, testing, or adjusting equipment
McCall-Thomas Engineering has contracts with several utilities on the East Coast to provide storm damage assessment support in the event of severe weather. Our Electric division employees are required to be available to travel for our Storm Damage Assessment response team when called, either as a Driver or as an Assessor. Details will be discussed in more detail in an interview.
What Will You Need:
- Valid CDL Class A License required
- Knowledge of aerial ADSS fiber installations
- Must have previous experience working from blueprints, and specifications
- Experience (3+ years) in conduit placement, aerial fiber placement, hand hole placement, and cable and fiber pulling
- Experience leading a typical 3-man crew
- Equipment operating experience (bucket truck)
- Ability to travel as project locations change
- HS diploma or GED
- Eligibility to work in the US without any type of sponsorship requirements
