This is a Local/Hybrid or full-time Remote position. It’s a Local/Hybrid role if you live in the Central Illinois area, which requires you to be in the Peoria, IL office Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday with the option to work from home Monday and Friday.
Videographer/Editor is a key role in the Motion Media Department and its overall success. Videographers/Editors should have a passion for conceptualizing, a terrific eye for detail and catching action while filming and have excellent storytelling skills with the ability to translate ideas into compelling videos.
As the Videographer/Editor, my objective is: To shoot video footage and edit high-quality, visually appealing content for various audiences and purposes, such as marketing campaigns, social media platforms, tutorials and corporate presentations. I’m also proficient with camera equipment and editing software, a great communicator, can take constructive criticism and can collaborate effectively with team members.
The outcomes I need to produce for the clients are:
Maintaining complete client confidence in my ability to deliver video that helps them achieve their goals
Providing consultive value to clients on how best to capture and tell the story they need to convey
To produce visually appealing and engaging videos that capture and retain viewers’ attention and communicate a clear message to achieve client marketing goals
Deliver final video deliverables on time and within budget
The outcomes I need to produce for the agency are:
be regarded as an expert in shooting, editing and storytelling to the rest of the agency

To produce these outcomes, I need to:
Shoot video footage using professional-grade cameras and equipment, ensuring high-quality visuals and audio
Have the technical acumen to operate, configure and set up professional-grade camera, video, audio, lighting or other production equipment
Edit video and image content using editing software, adding music tracks, transitions, graphics, and special effects including techniques, like color correction, audio mixing and output options to enhance the overall visual appeal of the video
Ensure all videos are optimized for different platforms and formats, like websites, social media, television
Effectively log and back up footage while on shoots, to ensure files have been properly stored for archival process
Partner with internal and external team members to bring creative ideas to life and ensure each project aligns with agency quality standards them successful from start to finish
Maintain organization of project files, footage and all assets that pertain to a project, from ideation to completion
Understand video production from concept to delivery, project workflow, file organization and archiving
Be open to helpful suggestions and critiques from team members, supervisors and clients
Easily adjust to changes in project scope or unexpected challenges during shooting or editing; ability to troubleshoot any technical issues and keep the production process running smoothly
Effectively manage and execute multiple projects at once
Stay up to date with the latest video/camera equipment and editing software trends.
The skills and abilities I require are:
Bachelor of Arts in video production/media, communications or related fields (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of progressive experience in video content creation and editing in a professional setting (studio, agency, freelance)
Proficient with professional cameras, lighting and sound equipment
Skilled in video editing software like Adobe Premier or related software; experience with motion graphics/animation a big plus
Capability to craft compelling narratives that align with client or agency marketing goals
Organized and detail-orientated with strong composition and spelling skills
Adaptable to team collaboration as well as working independently
To produce these outcomes, I have decision-making authority over the following:

How to communicate effectively: face-to-face, email, Teams/Zoom, phone
Daily schedule aligned to agency and project deadlines
