The Test and Evaluation team at Anduril is integral to our mission, ensuring that every product meets the highest standards of performance and reliability. Our team specializes in a broad spectrum of testing activities, including developmental testing using surrogate vehicles. We are at the forefront of testing approaches, particularly in the domain of mission autonomy systems. As our team expands, we are seeking a UAS Technician to focus on the challenges of rapid prototyping and contribute to the iterative advancement of Anduril’s broad range of autonomous systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow detailed schematics and blueprints to assemble UAS.
- Solder electronic components and wire harnesses.
- Integrate and configure motors, sensors, and other hardware.
- Perform initial testing and troubleshooting to ensure functionality.
- Calibrate flight control systems and ensure optimal performance.
- Document assembly processes and maintain build records.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to refine designs and improve build processes.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree in electronics, robotics, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in building UAS or similar electronics assembly.
- Proficiency in soldering, wiring, and using hand tools.
- Strong understanding of UAS components and flight systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
- Willing and able to travel on an as needed basis to remote test sites throughout the United States.
Preferred Skills:
- Certification from a recognized UAS technician or electronics assembly program.
- Experience with custom UAS builds and modifications.
- Familiarity with CAD software and 3D printing technology.
- Basic programming skills for configuring flight controllers.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working in a workshop environment.
