You bring passion and dedication to your job, and there"s no telling what you could accomplish!\\n\\nWe are looking for a Thermal Engineering Technician to join our Thermal Product Design team. In this role, you"ll play a pivotal part in characterizing thermal architecture and validating the thermal performance of Apple"s hardware and software across Apple’s ecosystem of hardware products. You"ll work hands-on with development hardware, conduct detailed testing, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure our products deliver optimal thermal performance.
As part of Apple’s Thermal Design Team, you’ll collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to design and execute detailed test plans and report results. Your work involves collecting data, disassembling, modifying, and reassembling Apple’s products to ensure optimal functionality.\\n\\nYou’ll work in labs, instrumenting and setting up devices to validate new features, bug fixes, and improvements don’t negatively impact thermal performance. You may also provide technical setup and support for internal investigations, product demonstrations, and technical challenges, configuring and troubleshooting hardware, software, and test equipment.\\n\\nThis multi-faceted role requires you to adapt quickly, building complex test plans, dissecting automation scripts, and managing lab setups and equipment for efficiency.
Characterize thermal architecture and validate thermal performance across Apple"s product lineup\\nDisassemble, modify, instrument, and reassemble Apple products for thermal testing\\nExecute software-hardware test plans to validate thermal performance.\\nPlace thermocouples, acquire temperature readings, and operate infrared camera systems.\\nBuild and run test suites, file bugs and regressions, and communicate status to stakeholders.\\nGenerate comprehensive test summaries and documentation of experiments and findings.\\nDevelop and improve test procedures to enhance data quality.\\nManage lab space organization and equipment maintenance.\\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues efficiently.
3+ years of experience as a Lab Technician, QA Technician, or in a related technical role.\\nExperience conducting hardware and software testing in macOS or iOS environments.\\nProficiency with Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages.\\nExperience with test equipment such as DMMs, Power Supplies, and eLoads.\\nStrong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve hardware and software issues.\\nExcellent attention to detail in analyzing and documenting test results.\\nOutstanding oral and written communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams.\\nAbility to organize and prioritize day-to-day work into efficient, sustainable workflows.
Proficiency in thermal measurement methods and infrared camera operation. \\nExperience with 3D CAD tools. \\nKnowledge of electronic and mechanical systems, including DC circuits and soldering.\\nExperience with MATLAB or Python for data analysis.\\nAssociate or Bachelors"s Degree in a Technical Discipline
