Your day-to-day!

  • Perform operation and maintenance of a utility-scale PV power plant;
  • Optimize the performance and production of the solar project by taking all necessary steps;
  • Complete preventive and corrective work orders as assigned;
  • Ensure that all work on-site complies with applicable safety, environmental, and engineering policies/standards;
  • Use a computerized maintenance management system to record the work performed;
  • Monitor the SCADA of the solar project to identify de-rates and other issues;
  • Perform periodic safety inspections and remedy issues if possible;
  • Take all necessary steps to investigate and resolve alarms triggered by the facility to minimize downtime (24-hour availability when on call).

Your skills, our requirements!

  • Training in electric circuits and/or electromechanics is preferred;
  • Minimum of 3 of experience in similar position;
  • Experience in renewable energy;
  • Have a good knowledge of mobile vehicles (tractors, ATVs, etc.);
  • Experience with voltage converters, specifically Power Electronics, will be an asset;
  • Experience with SCADA systems abd PLCs will be an asset;
  • Strong problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to be self-motivated and work with minimal supervision; 
  • Ability to multi-task in a complex and dynamic environment; 
  • Excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills; 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; 
  • Possess a valid driver’s license;
  • Fluency in English required, and some Spanish is an asset.

  • The position is based at the Phoebe site in Kermit,Texas.
  • This position is a O3 level

Pay Transparency Statement

Compensation for roles at Innergex varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, education, and level of experience. We believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. 

In the spirit of pay transparency we are excited to share the base salary for the position is $32,00 - $40,00 per hour, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. If you are hired by Innergex, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth. We also offer a generous compensation and benefits package.
