Sr. Electrical Supervisor (Solar)

Elecrtical Supervisors Role and Responsibilities.
· To understand all drawings, contract documents, and quality documentation.
· To work collaboratively in a TEAM environment.
· To verify that all drawings, submittals, and specifications are accurate.
· Understanding of SCADA and fiber optics.
· Understanding of electrical and fiber testing, IE, TTR, VLF, ODTR, Fall of Potential, VOC’s, etc.
· Works collaboratively with the EPC, sub-contractors, NEER/FPL operations teams, and any others working on site.
· Reports daily, weekly and monthly on progress, quality control and safety
· Learning and using Unifier to record, name, and upload of electrical installation QC photographs
· Facilitates the Request for Information(RFI) process with the EPC and site engineering.
· Perform inspections of equipment being installed to verify it’s done correctly and per the scope of work and specifications.
· Review project completion documentation.
· Interfaces with project's designated safety, engineering and quality control parties
· Help facilitate field commissioning and turnover.
· To create good relationships with the EPC and others on site.
· To ensure that safety is the number one priority on all sites.
· To understand and follow all company rules and policies.
· Experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS),
Ideal Background
· Must be able to read electrical drawings
· Strong understanding of Medium Voltage (MV) systems
· Experience crimping terminations and cable work
· Strong inverter and cabling experience
· Prefer candidates with strong field experience and a background working on job sites
Preferred background:
· Lineman → Foreman → Construction Superintendent
· Master Electricians are also acceptable, even if they have not held a formal supervisory role.
However, they must understand that this role is primarily oversight and contractor management, not a hands-on electrical position.
· Will be overseeing contractor builds
· Role requires ~80% of time in the field
**Location: Region is Midwest but may have other projects. They want candidates that are open to travel and NextEra will try to keep them in the same region as their home.
**Job tenure is something PMs are looking at. Someone jumping around every few months or have 3 job in last 2 years is a red flag. If someone leaves a role, lets mark the reason why .
