Solar Packaging Tech

Our client is seeking a Solar Packaging Technician.

This independent power producer owns and operates a large portfolio of utility-scale solar, wind, and natural gas generation assets across the U.S. The role supports solar-related materials handling and packaging needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Package, label, and prepare solar modules, components, spare parts, or related equipment for storage, shipment, or site deployment according to work instructions and quality standards.
• Sort, count, inspect, and verify items against packing lists or inventory requirements; ensure accurate documentation and labeling.
• Use appropriate protective materials, crating, banding, and packaging methods to prevent damage during handling or transport.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe packaging/work area; follow all safety and handling procedures for solar equipment.
• Assist with loading/unloading, staging, and inventory movement as needed.
• Report any discrepancies, damaged materials, or issues promptly to the project lead.
• Perform other related packaging, staging, or materials-handling tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in packaging, warehousing, materials handling, manufacturing, or shipping preferred (solar, electrical, or industrial packaging experience a plus).
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions and packing specifications accurately.
• Comfortable working with physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods (ability to lift up to 50 lbs preferred).
• Basic attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work efficiently in a team or independently.
• Willingness to work outdoors or in industrial/site environments as required.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
