DescriptionSituation Group, a global collective of digital-first advertising agencies and an award-winning nonprofit, seeks a Senior Content Editor & Videographer to work primarily within the Social Media team alongside Social Managers to develop best-in-class video content for our clients. This role will bring social video content ideas into production and post-production in a timely manner to meet client goals and milestones. They will attend social team meetings and use their video expertise to help shape content calendars and manage video projects across clients. This role will report to the Social Media Director and will, at times, provide additional support to the wider Video team at Situation. The selected candidate is a quick thinker, thrives in creatively collaborative environments, and is an excellent communicator with a passion for live & shared experiences.
Our office is located in midtown Manhattan, and we are currently working in the office four days per week.
RequirementsSample Day-to-Day Responsibilities
All of the examples below could be reflected in large-scale or small-scale video work:
- Collaborate with Social Media Managers in the development of engaging video content for use on social platforms, from ideation to execution, utilizing internal creative resources
- Film, edit, animate, and handle post-production for short-form digital, social content, and video content
- Support social media managers in logistics for field video production, such as scheduling, resourcing, equipment, location scouting, permits, shot lists, call sheets, signage, and release forms.
- Facilitate red carpet and on-the-fly interviews
- Conceive and execute video shoots involving high-caliber talent for clients
- Uphold the tone and voice of each brand
- Research the competitive landscape to understand how other live entertainment properties are utilizing video content to increase brand awareness
Requirements
- 4+ years of similar experience at a creative agency, studio, TV network, or independent work as a content creator.
- An extensive knowledge of audio/video production, including on-set experience and interviewing/directing talent, camera, lighting, and audio equipment, etc.
- Advanced in capturing content on iPhone, DSLR, and Sony FX3
- Advanced working knowledge of Adobe Premiere and After Effects
- Proficient color correction, grading, and audio mixing skills
- A deep interest and understanding of social media and social media best practices as they pertain to video content editing
- Excellent time-management, organizational skills, and an ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects at once
- A passion for live entertainment & shared experiences
- Some graphic design experience preferred
- Photography skills are preferred
- Some nights, weekends, or off-hours work at short notice will be required
- Interested candidates must provide a reel of recent work as an editor and videographer
