Staff Training: May 23 - June 5 (2 weeks)
Camp: June 6 - Aug 7 (9 weeks)


Photographers


Work cooperatively with fellow photographers to capture photos and video of camp activities each day. Photos need to be edited, and uploaded daily to the camp’s photo gallery. Photographers are also responsible for writing a daily newsletter for parents and preparing flash drives for campers at the end of the week.

 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Take photos and video at assigned locations and activities throughout the week, which may include Camper Check-in, courses and classes, and evening activities.
  • Edit photos, upload to storage folder, and label with camper name or image subject.
  • Assist campers in handling animals to ensure well-composed photographs and safe interaction with animals.
  • Select and upload photos to be used as camper memory cards.
  • Select and upload photos and video to be used for daily photo slideshows and end-of-session video.
  • Upload photos daily to photo gallery website for parents to view.
  • Provide emotional and behavioral support to campers as needed by following behavior management techniques as outlined in the staff manual and during training.

Requirements

  • Completed High School.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.
  • A desire to positively impact the life of a child and willingness to put the needs of campers first.
  • Have a passion for science, animals and childhood development.
  • Able to effectively communicate ideas, thoughts and instructions in a constructive manner.
  • Self-motivated and able to work on tasks and assigned goals with minimal supervision.
  • Be willing to learn new concepts and skills.
  • Able to work in a team and both give and take direction from others.
  • Willingness to adhere to camp’s code of conduct, rules and policies.


Benefits

Starting pay $4050 for 11 week summer. Additional $100 credit in camp store for snacks and supplies. Housing, meals, and laundry included. Weekend work is required, this position requires availability to work on-site 7 days a week for the contract period. Two 1-hour breaks provided each day, and 1 scheduled day off each week.
