Middle School East Destination Imagination Advisor (November 2, 2026 Start Date)

About STMA Schools
We are a district that serves over 6,300 students and employs 850 employees in a northwestern suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Our district is comprised of one primary school for kindergarten students, three elementary schools for grades 1-4, two middle schools for grades 5-8, and one high school for grades 9-12.

Position Overview & Responsibilities

• Facilitate Meetings: Schedule and run team practices (usually 3-4 hours per week from autumn through spring tournament season).
• Guide the Creative Process: Help students understand challenge requirements without interfering or doing the work for them.
• Teach Skills: Introduce team-building, time management, and Instant Challenges.
• Handle Logistics: Complete tournament paperwork, manage registration, and supervise the team at tournaments.
• Communicate with parents: communicate with parents and Organize Parent volunteers. 

Start date: November 2nd, 2026.  Season runes through Regional/State competition in late February (this school year the date is February 20, 2027), but position continues from year to year.

Schedule: 2 practices a week. Practices are after school and go until 5pm. some evening/weekend meets and tournaments. Available for regional and state Competition.

Requirements & Qualifications
Experience coaching or participation in team-building, time management, and Instant Challenges.

Stipend Starting Salary Range: $2,025-2,254 according to the  Clubs Group of Schedule C of the Certified Master Contract 2025-2027.

Benefits: No benefit eligibilty, other than Earned Safe and Sick Time (ESST) as provided by law.
