Description

As a Machinist Level 4 FAA here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will play a critical role in precision machining operations, ensuring the production of high-quality components that meet stringent specifications. You will apply your advanced skills and knowledge to operate and maintain complex machinery, contribute to process improvements, and support the manufacturing team to achieve production goals efficiently and safely.

You will report directly to our Machine Shop Manager and you’ll work out of our Phoenix, Arizona location on an on-site work schedule. 1st shift 0530-1400

In this role, you will impact the overall manufacturing quality and productivity by delivering precision-machined parts that meet customer requirements and support Honeywell Aerospace’s commitment to excellence and innovation.



Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain CNC and manual machining equipment to produce precision parts according to engineering specifications.
  • Perform quality inspections and measurements to ensure parts meet required tolerances and standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving machining and equipment issues to minimize downtime.


Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Proven experience as a machinist with advanced skills in operating CNC and manual machine tools.
  • Strong knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and materials used in precision manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Experience with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure quality control.
  • Familiarity with machine maintenance and troubleshooting to support continuous production flow.

WE VALUE

  • Associate degree or technical certification in machining, manufacturing technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a precision machining environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
