Zooxβs 3D Mapping team develops state-of-the-art mapping software used to build high-definition geometric maps of the cities we operate in. This work is foundational to enabling autonomy in complex environments.
As part of the team, you will collaborate in building a highly automated, scalable, multi-modality, 3D mapping system. There is a strong need for algorithms to be verifiably robust, operating on diverse data across a variety of environments and conditions.
We are looking for passionate interns who are interested in gaining industry experience and diving into the exciting and challenging data at hand.
Technical Qualifications & Language Requirements
Excellent understanding of C++ and Python
Strong experience with at least one of the following: pose estimation, SLAM, probabilistic filtering, 3D perception, computer vision
Strong mathematical basis
Experience with software architecture and algorithm design
Bonus Qualifications
Practical robotics experience
Knowledge of computer vision techniques and machine learning
Published papers/research
Passionate about the work
Compensation
The monthly salary range for this position is $6,500 to $9,500. Compensation will vary based on role, degree level and type, and benefits will be offered based on eligibility. Additional benefits may include medical insurance, 401k, and a housing stipend.
