Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time, CWA position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 pm. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Note: Those non-faculty employees in the “NE” category of employment may have irregular or variable work hours. The compensatory time policy for NL employees applies to “NE” employees up to 40 hours per week. Beyond 40 hours, the overtime policy for fixed workweek employees applies (i.e., rate of time and one-half in payment or compensatory time).

Job Summary:
The Full-Time College Photographer is a vital member of Ramapo College’s marketing unit, playing a key role in advancing the College’s strategic branding, enrollment, and outreach goals. This position is responsible for leading the College’s visual storytelling through compelling photography and video production that supports marketing campaigns, admissions, public relations, communications, advancement initiatives, and campus-wide communications.
As the lead visual content producer, the photographer oversees all aspects of the College’s photography needs and contributes to the College’s video production efforts in collaboration with the campus videographer. The photographer is also responsible for managing and maintaining the College’s digital asset management system (e.g., Canto, Media Valet, Zenfolio), ensuring that visual content is archived, organized, and accessible to stakeholders.
This full-time role serves as a strategic partner to the Director of Marketing, graphic designers, web and digital team, and public relations; directly contributing to the College’s ability to create an authentic and vibrant visual brand. The College Photographer supervises a student photographer when available and works closely with freelance creatives to meet the College’s growing demand for multimedia content.
