Job Summary
The role of the Aerial Park Attendant is to oversee the daily activities at The Aerial Park along with the Bungee Trampoline to provide a safe and friendly environment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Uphold and support recreation expectations including Great Service, Quality Programming and Safe Recreation.
Assist department in minimizing liability and risk.
Follow activity standard operation procedures (SOPs) and uphold facilitation standards outlined in training.
Communicate, promote, sell, and encourage all on and off-site program participation, including Bungee Trampoline.
Complete proper set up and clean up duties assigned to each apparatus as outlined on the SOP.
Maintain and check equipment and structures for defects and hazards.
Ensure protocol is followed including verifying all appropriate documentation is completed prior to the activity. Keep track of package and day climbers.
Ensure all participants have a “Release” wristband.
Communicate and enforce facility and Adventure Course, Climbing Wall, and Bungee Trampoline policies.
Outfit guests with harness and helmet and ensure proper fit.
Educate guests on proper/ safe climbing and rappelling. Educate guests on proper/ safe navigation of course features and platform limits.
Perform instruction in safe and proper adventure course/climbing wall use; assist guests as needed.
Maintain and clean the area around the Adventure Course, Climbing Wall, and Bungee Trampoline. Keep all areas trash free.
Communicate to Aerial Park Leads or Recreation Management any operation observations or guest comments and concerns.
Organize climbing gear, bungee gear, and storage.
Work special events and other programming as needed. Assist with private group blocks.
Interact and provide a safe, fun environment at all times.
Follow all safe work practices to include the use of personal protection equipment (PPE) and Blood Borne Pathogens (BBP) procedures when around injuries.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Specifications
Competencies:
Previous climbing or ropes course experience is desirable but not required.
Must obtain Aerial Park Training Certifications (provided on-site).
CPR/First Aid Certifications required. Can be obtained after employment.
Excellent guest service.
Clear and concise verbal communication skills.
Must possess a high level of concentration, self-motivation, the ability to multi-task, and the drive to have fun.
Previous experience working with children a plus.
Must have the ability to work independently.
Dependable and meets goals.
Exemplifies professional conduct and adherence to company Core Values.
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Combination of education and experience that enables performance of all aspects of the position.
Physical & Other Requirements:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand and talk or hear.
The employee is frequently required to walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to work in varying weather conditions.
Must possess sufficient stamina to work under all types of weather conditions including extreme hot/ cold and to lift, carry, push, or pull a variety of tools, equipment, and materials.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Minimum 18 years old.
Must have excellent attendance and conduct record for consideration.
Non-smoking candidates preferred.
