Aerial Adventure Park Rangers at Arapahoe Basin deliver a fun, informative, and safe environment for guests using the Aerial Adventure Park by utilizing clear verbal communication, possessing knowledge of the park and all equipment, and following all training guidelines.
AAP Rangers are eligible for a staging program that relates to applicable pay based on experience, their ability to pass in-house training, and their ability to understand and perform specific AAP rescue techniques. See the staging requirements below.

Essential Responsibilities:
AAP Ranger Staging Program
Park Ranger I: Starting Pay: $20.50/hr
- Performs daily morning course inspections and safety protocols, including completing required written logs.
- Conducts pre-course informative safety talk and assists guests with proper harnessing procedures and safety training.
- Fits harnesses for guests and supervises the guest's use of all personal safety equipment during park use.
- Assesses each guest’s ability to use the park after completing ground school.
- Educates guests on the natural surroundings and history of A-Basin at appropriate intervals of guests’ experience in the park.
- Interacts closely with guest services, summer patrol, base area and all other A-Basin operations to provide a quality guest experience.
- Assists with maintaining equipment including inventory, daily inspections, and proper storing as well as course and facility maintenance.
- Other duties as assigned
Park Ranger II: Starting Pay: $21.00/hr
Fulfills all stage I responsibilities and requirements in addition to the following:
- Engages with guests on course, encouraging and verbally assisting guests as they travel through the course.
- Works at heights with the use of fall protection.
- After required training, understands and performs course rescue operations in accordance with training manuals and guidelines, including stabilizing, moving and lowering of participant.
- Other duties as assigned.
